Marching Band Summer Information

New for Next Year

  • There will be full time and part time spots this year depending on developmentally appropriate level as assessed at the camps.

  • Any Rookie who wants a chance at a full-time spot for next season’s Competition Show “Chronometry” must attend all of the below.

  • Rookies who cannot attend the camps or miss part of the camp will start the season on alternate status and will be eligible to earn a spot in the competition show, if one becomes available.

  • All Band Members (including Rookies) will be able to participate in the Pre-Game show and on Friday Nights if they are in good status.

  • Any returning member who needs marching remediation is strongly encouraged to attend Rookie Camp...

  • There are only a limited number of spots for our competition group this year which will likely be competing at the State Championships.

  • If you are not a confident marcher, but are a talented musician, you may wish to sign up for the Front Ensemble for the first part of the fall semester.  You can prepare your percussion parts in your regular band class, picking up your wind instrument later in the semester.
